Hey Guys, Tim Here. Looking to set up some accountability for myself this next year.

I felt that making this public information would be a good way to keep myself accountable and have this “set in stone” somewhere I could reflect back on it and always have a look at it.

As I type this, at 8:34 AM on New Years Day, I think to myself, “what could I have done better in 2015?

With that in mind, I am giving you my 2016 New Years Resolutions “Hot off the press.”

  1.  Lose weight.

Sure, everyone has this one.  But in 2015 I often found myself being lazy and making excuses.  Sure, work was part of it, but that’s up to me to find that happy balance and keep working out through work, play, and family time.    Good thing I invested in a lot of Under Armour Apparel recently.

  2.  Grow my Business.

Another one that sounds generic, but now I have a clear path to success in many areas of life and feel that I’ve never had a better game plan in place.

  3.  Invest Smarter.

This one comes with discipline, and this is something I’ve been good at for putting money into retirement, but not really for any short term investments.  I need to acquire some more real estate this year and hit the ground running on that front.

Note:  I’m making a very detailed approach to saving money and using rewards points on this section of Things Men Buy.

    4.  Win the Beer Challenge.

Every year I “quit” drinking beer for as long as I humanly can.  My results are embarrassing.  Beyond embarrassing.  I love beer. It’s one of my favorite things to drink while I socialize and catch up with friends.  I usually go two weeks before I succumb to the pressures of beer.  This year, I’m going all of January.  Minimum.  Watch me.

While my EXACT goals are private and personal, this general outline provides my 2016 New Years Resolutions.  Guys, what’s on your mind for 2016?  Let’s help each other by being accountable.  Leave comments here, I’d love to see what other men use as New Years Resolutions.

Happy New  Year.
